Love Is in the Air With Lizzo’s ‘Hard Launch’ of Boyfriend Myke Wright

The Grammy-winning singer finally went IG official with her partner.

Lizzo is having an incredible week. The singer took home the Grammy Award for Record of the Year at Sunday night’s star-studded ceremony in Los Angeles and gave a heartwarming acceptance speech. The day prior, the “Special” singer finally went Instagram official with her boyfriend, actor-comedian Myke Wright.

While the two have been publicly dating since last spring—and were friends long before that, having cohosted the MTV music series Wonderland in 2016—the singer hadn’t made it official on social media with her beau until her Feb. 5 post. The series of snaps showed her snuggled up with her partner while they struck a pose in other pics. 

Both were dressed for an evening out, as Lizzo rocked a blue-and-black fringe mini dress with over-the-knee black boots, and Wright looked dapper in a suit and bow tie. The happy couple attended the Pre-Grammy Gala and Grammy Salute to Industry Icons on Feb. 4 in their coordinated outfits.

Lizzo playfully captioned the post she shared with her 13.1 million followers, “Hard Launch😮‍💨.”

Friends and fans were quick to hype the “Truth Hurts” singer up about her relationship in the comments section of the post, which has racked up more than 2.4 million likes.

“A doll and her Ken 😍😍,” wrote singer-songwriter SZA.

“BEEN WAITIN😍😍😍😍😍😍,” piped in artist Kehlani, while model Lori Harvey added, “We love a hard launch 😍.”

“Happy Valentine’s Day and Black History Month 💗 ✊🏿 🇪🇹,” quipped comedian Eric André.

Several followers made remarks about actor Chris Evans, with whom the singer has had an online flirtationship.

“Chris Evans missed his chance,” joked one person, while another added, “Chris Evans punching the air rn.”

On an episode of The Howard Stern Show last December, Lizzo gushed about her love for Wright. “There’s nobody else I’m going to be with for the rest of my life,” she said.
