The Los Angeles Lakers may have lost to the Miami Heat on their home turf last night, but there was still at least one good thing that came out of the evening: Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco made their first public appearance together.

The couple confirmed their relationship in early December after about six months of dating. Since, they have been active on social media, sharing content with and of each other. But until last night, the pair had not stepped out in public together since confirming their romance. And not only did they make a public appearance together, but they did it in a big way.

Sitting front row at the Lakers game, Gomez and Blanco cozied up together, seemingly without regard for the handful of cameras pointed in their direction. In a series of photos shared from the night, they were seen holding hands and laughing together. At one point, the pop sensation even rested her head on her boyfriend’s shoulder—the sweetest show of affection, if you ask us.

The appearance came shortly after Blanco shared candid snaps of Gomez on his Instagram story, creating excitement among fans of the singer and her new beau. She herself has included the record producer in some of her latest Instagram posts, including a carousel that featured a photo of the pair kissing. Her fans and followers took to the comment section to share their support and approval.

Though early in their relationship, they seem to be thriving—and we’re rooting for them.
