With the Australian Open just weeks away, the pro is getting in some last minute practice.

With the holidays at an end, professional tennis players have their eyes set on the beginning of the 2024 season. Mid-January will bring the first Grand Slam of the calendar year, the Australian Open, set to take place between Jan. 14 and Jan. 28 in Melbourne.

With the first tournament slated to start in a couple of weeks, several of our favorite players have started making the trek Down Under to begin preparations. Among them are Caroline Wozniacki, who looks to continue her comeback to the game with a wildcard berth in Australia; Naomi Osaka, who will play a tournament for the first time since 2022; and Sloane Stephens.

Before making the journey to the coastal city to begin on-site tournament prep, Stephens has been busy at practice in her home state of Florida. In addition to a playful session on Christmas morning with her husband, Jozy Altidore, and coaches by her side, the athlete took to the court for a much more serious night session before setting out for a taste of Australian summer.

“Last night session before I head down under 🦘,” she captioned an impressive Instagram clip in which she showed off her incredible forehand skills.

“Get one more then walk away,” fellow professional tennis player Frances Tiafoe joked in the comment section.

“She’s ready!!” another follower remarked.

Ready or not (don’t get us wrong, we think she is), the Australian Open is edging closer, and we will be cheering Stephens on the whole way.
