Travis Kelce Says Taylor Swift’s New Album Will ‘Shake Up the World’
By now, you’ve likely heard the news: during her acceptance speech for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 66th annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 4, Taylor Swift announced the impending arrival of her new project. The Tortured Poets Department, her 11th studio album, will drop on April 19.
Fans immediately went into a frenzy over the exciting announcement, and though little is known about the project thus far, Swift’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, just revealed that he’s heard snippets of the album.
During a Super Bowl Opening Night press conference in Las Vegas on Monday, the athlete provided a teaser regarding his partner’s new project.
“I have heard some of it, yes, and it is unbelievable,” Kelce gushed with a smile. “I can’t wait for her to shake up the world when it finally drops.”
Since her announcement on Sunday night, Swift has revealed the 16-song tracklist (with one bonus track) for The Tortured Poets Department on Instagram, which will include collaborations with Post Malone and Florence and the Machine.
“She’s unbelievable,” Kelce added during the press conference. “She’s rewriting the history books herself, [and] I told her I’ll have to hold up my end of the bargain and come home with some hardware, too.”
Super Bowl LVIII kicks off at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 11 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, where the Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the San Francisco 49ers.
