Wellness leader Melissa Wood-Tepperberg knows that there’s one thing in particular she can rely on to improve her mood: getting her body moving.

The workout and wellness leader shared her thoughts on the matter in a May 3 Instagram post, in which she claimed, “Movement is pure medicine for not only your body; but most importantly- your mind.”

Wood-Tepperberg, the founder of MWH and a 2023 SI Swimsuit rookie, further illustrated her point in a cute video clip. “My mood before I move my body,” read the on-screen text, while the 40-year-old walked into a workout studio looking unenthused. The clip then cut to Wood-Tepperberg dancing up a storm, with “And after...,” written across the video.

“I’ve been in it (aren’t we all), but one thing that surely pulls me out of the funk day after day is my consistent commitment to showing up for myself daily,” Wood-Tepperberg wrote, adding that even if it’s just for a few minutes, she prioritizes regular exercise to improve her mood.

“You better get it! 👏👏👏👏,” 2023 Swim Search finalist Sharina Gutierrez applauded in the comments.

“Doctors orders!!!” Dr. Jake Deutsch quipped.

“Truth! I look very similar to this 😂🙌,” a fan agreed.

“Literally me right now 😂😂😂💀💀 great timing,” someone else added.
