Melissa Wood-Tepperberg, a rookie in the 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue, is also a workout and wellness leader. Her MWH platform makes wellness attainable and accessible for all, and the 40-year-old mom of two regularly shares candid moments from her own journey on social media.

On July 14, Wood-Tepperberg did just that when she opened up about how her relationship with food vastly improved after she began meditating regularly.

“I used to think that everything was about the food that I ate, and it wasn’t until I started meditating that I understood it was never the food that I had a bad relationship to,” she admitted in a voiceover. “It was the relationship with myself that needed work.”

Wood-Tepperberg went on to explain that adopting a daily meditation practice helped her to see herself differently, and fueling her body with a variety of foods became a more joyful experience.

“I share this so delicately because I know all too well what it feels like to live in a struggle with food,” she further shared in her caption. “I hope this post gives you a ray of hope and to see a bright beautiful light at the end of the tunnel.”

The clip has since garnered more than 10,500 likes and tons of feedback from Wood-Tepperberg’s one million followers on the platform.

“That avo toast/pizza looks absolutely banging 😍😍❤️❤️,” Lilly Sabri observed. “Love your energy!”

“I felt that,” Caroline Günther added. “Thanks ❤️.”

“Love + relate to every word ❤️,” one person wrote.
