Jessica Alba Is in Awe of Martha Stewart for Embracing ‘Aging With Beauty and Grace’
Jessica Alba is fangirling over Martha Stewart and her 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue cover. We totally understand—it’s a pretty awesome accomplishment and an iconic photo.
The actress applauded the 81-year-old media personality and entrepreneur, who was photographed by Ruven Afanador in the Dominican Republic, for her historic cover and for “reframing what it looks and feels like to embrace aging with beauty and grace.” Alba added that she is inspired by Stewart’s constant excitement for the future and what lies ahead.
“Epic. Sexy. Powerful. Healthy. Bold. Chic. Inspiring. Rebellious. @marthastewart48 - you are everything and more! And this cover shoot…. 😱🔥💫🥰👏🏽 Go off, girl - making @sportsillustrated history,” the Dark Angel star wrote. “❤️🔥 It is so refreshing to see, we need so much more inclusivity overall! Ultimately, the beauty standards that exist are simply not it - thank you for reminding us all that instead, beauty is ultimately how you feel inside and your confidence in owning all aspects of yourself - that’s what true, timeless beauty is about.”
“As Martha recently said, ‘creativity is really probably the best thing one can do - to be creative, to keep one’s spirit alive. Because if you can’t create you just sort of stagnate,’” Alba, 42, continued. “Curiosity, creativity, inspiration, information - all of these are extremely important to Martha. So keep dreaming, creating, problem solving, chasing goals, pushing boundaries, learning new things, evolving + growing - your potential is limitless and age is quite frankly just a number. Cheers to you, Martha 🥂🤍💗 P.S. - you are definitely the woman king 👑 of selfies 🤳🏽💯 #WomanCrushWednesday #MarthaStewart.”
Stewart was an influencer before the term was considered a part of mainstream vocabulary. The 99-time author and Emmy Award winner worked as a model in her teens and early 20s and has built a lifestyle finding “the best way to accomplish a task, the best way to create a craft, the best way to cook a dish.” The mom of one and grandmother of two knows that homekeeping is an art form and believes in “careful” editing and organization.
