‘Get Real With Me’ Marks Alix Earle’s Return to Video Podcasting

Alix Earle’s podcast series Hot Mess has returned, but this time, the show has a brand-new look.
Now under the name Get Real With Me, Earle will spill all the tea about her life in the series, just as she always has on her TikTok. As reported by Variety, special guests will join the content creator every now and then to share their own stories while getting ready in a luxurious boudoir. The first esteemed guest was none other than Jake Shane, host of Therapuss and Earle’s close friend.
In the episode, Earle and Shane appeared to be just two friends reflecting on their recent shenanigans. For example, the two recalled the time they both attended Art Basil, which ended up being a particularly wild night for Earle.
“That was probably the worst night of my life. You’ve seen me at my worst. That’s for sure,” Earle expressed. Shane was quick to comfort her, letting her know that it wasn’t all that bad, adding, “You know, but I didn’t think it was that bad. I thought it was kind of funny.”
After their chat, the besties did an array of activities, from playing a couple of mini games to dissecting some of Shane’s most well-known outfits to going through one another’s camera rolls. It felt like absolutely nothing was off-limits, allowing fans to get to know these internet personalities in ways they might have never expected. Earle even brought up a fun fact about her ex-boyfriend, Braxton Berrios, revealing that she never went through his phone.
When asked by Shane if she had ever gone through a boyfriend’s phone, the 25-year-old responded, “Of course, everyone. Except, I’ve never gone through Braxton’s phone. I think every other boyfriend. Phones. Laptops. No, I never went through his phone because I trusted him.”
The vibe of the episode mimics the feeling of getting ready with a close friend, but without the pressure of trying to get everything done before the Uber arrives or before the pregame starts kicking in a little too early. Overall, the first episode was laidback, relaxing and, most importantly, real.
A perfect taste of what else the title has in store, the first episode was the ultimate chill vibe. Whatever else is in the future for Earle’s new show is bound to be a blast. Until then, however, subscribe to her YouTube channel and stay tuned.
