The Sparks’ nail-biter 81–80 victory over the Dallas Wings at Crypto.com Arena on Aug. 20 was electric on the court—and the tunnel looks may have been just as buzzworthy.

Cameron Brink

Sophomore forward Cameron Brink strutted in with her signature model-off-duty energy. The 23-year-old, who entered the WNBA as the No. 2 overall draft pick last season, has already carved out a reputation for turning the tunnel into her runway.

The New Jersey-born athlete rocked a zebra print bomber jacket layered over a black leather bandeau bralette, perfectly capturing the peek-a-boo trend. She paired it with dark denim jorts—summer’s most polarizing bottom—and styled the look with below-the-knee black boots, sleek sunglasses and a brown-and-white polka dot purse.

The SI Swimsuit model’s slicked-back ponytail and dewy glam finished with a berry lip let her long, sculpted frame and endless legs do the talking.

Kelsey Plum

Opposite her, Kelsey Plum brought a different, corpcore take on the daring aesthetic. The 30-year-old two-time WNBA champion has long been known for her fiery play and bold fashion.

The four-time All-Star wore a burnt orange tailored power suit, letting the blazer fall open to reveal a delicate black lace bralette underneath. The high-rise trousers elongated Plum’s frame, while oversized tinted sunglasses, a brown belt and pointed-toe heels kept the vibe strong, sharp and autumn-ready.

Both looks prove that the peek-a-boo trend, strategic flashes of lingerie under structured pieces, is more than a fleeting fad.

Peek-a-boo trend explained

They’re not the only ones in the league tapping into the look. Chicago Sky rookie Maddy Westbeld is a huge fan of the trend. Our favorite version of it was on June 10, when the Notre Dame alum leaned into a summery sophistication, stepping through the tunnel in a gray longline blazer, blue-and-white striped Oxford shirt left undone, denim jorts and a body chain.

A sleek black lace bralette peeked through underneath, paired with classic black pumps.

Her stylist, Desiree Olavarrieta tells SI Swimsuit the thought process behind the ’fit:

“With this look, we wanted to channel a balance of power and sensuality—something that felt effortless but still disruptive in the best way. The oversized blue blazer and unbuttoned Oxford shirt nod to classic menswear, while the black lace bralette peeking through is all about owning femininity without compromise,” she shares. “It’s intentionally undone, a little rebellious, and very much a reflection of where Maddy is right now—confident, fearless and not afraid to blur the lines between athlete and icon.”

It’s a formula that works. Whether styled with denim cutoffs, sharp tailoring or oversized layers, the peek-a-boo trend reclaims lingerie as power dressing.
