Georgina Burke Dazzles in Sparkly Plunging Dress, Shares Important Message

The Australian SI Swimsuit model returns to the magazine this month.

Georgina Burke is a vision in black. The 2023 SI Swimsuit model donned a gorgeous sparkly, plunge-neck gown featuring sequined fabric, shoulder pads, long sleeves and a thigh-high slit up the center. She posted a stunning in-studio pic on Instagram. The dress from Carla Zampatti retails for $1,028.

Her blonde locks were slicked back into a tight bun by hairstylist Daren Borthwick and makeup artist Peter Beard opted for a fresh face of glam, including feathered brows, glass skin, natural eyes and a pinky-nude lip.

“Elegance is the only beauty that never fades,” she captioned the May 5 photo, shared with her 147,000 followers, with an inspiring message. The model was photographed by Simon Lekias.

The Australian model is represented by IMG Models and Jackie Frank of the Be Frank Group, who is the founding editor of Marie Claire Australia magazine.

“It’s been a dream representing @missgeoburke here in Australia,” Frank wrote alongside a black-and-white image of the Burke NYC founder from the same photo shoot. “She got back into the studio and it’s magical!”

Burke was discovered at 17 in her hometown of Brisbane, Australia. An agent told her that they would sign her immediately under the condition that she lose weight.

“I was about a size 10 at the time. I tried my hardest and it sucked,” Burke said. “As a 17-year-old, getting told to ‘lose weight,’ you do fall victim to that. I fell into anorexia. Honestly, it’s taken many years [to recover] and it’s something that I’m going to forever be working on, especially as a woman in the fashion industry.”
