Hailey Bieber Blends Summer’s Two Hottest Trends Into One Show-Stopping City Girl Look

The supermodel and beauty entrepreneur is keeping cool as temperatures soar in NYC.

Hailey Bieber is proving once again that she’s a trendsetter, not a follower.

The 28-year-old turned a casual solo lunch in New York City into a full-on fashion moment, stepping out in Soho on June 21 for a bite at Bar Pitti in an outfit that channeled European summer chic with a distinctly Carrie Bradshaw-approved twist.

At the heart of the ensemble was a pair of white capri pants with oversized black polka dots from Spanish brand Paloma Wool. The skin-tight bottoms were a bold choice for a summer day in the city, combining two once-polarizing styles—capri pants and polka dots—into one seamless, elegant look. Bieber styled them with a sleek black tank, kitten-heel flip-flops from Toteme and a black purse from The Row. Oval-shaped black sunglasses and her signature understated glam completed the supermodel’s monochrome outfit.

The styling, courtesy of longtime collaborator Dani Michelle, struck the perfect balance of elevated and effortless. The Rhode skincare brand founder’s go-to gold wristwatch and massive diamond ring made an appearance, too, a not-so-subtle signature duo in nearly all her off-duty looks.

While polka dots and capri pants have both experienced fashion’s cold shoulder in the past, they’ve steadily made their way back into the spotlight this year. Once linked to retro pin-up style, the pattern has returned in recent seasons thanks to designers revamping the print in oversized, abstract or asymmetrical forms.

Capris, beloved by style icons like Audrey Hepburn in the 1950s and revived in the Y2K era, are making a comeback as part of the current wave of playful, experimental silhouettes. Celebs like Bella Hadid and Barbara Palvin have already brought the cropped pants back to the mainstream, and Bieber is cementing their 2025 revival.

Known for her ability to take classic pieces and give them a fashion-forward twist, the New York native and Los Angeles resident has made everything from clogs to jorts feel fresh.
