Margot Robbie Is a Gothic Era Daydream at ‘Wuthering Heights’ Premiere

The press tour for Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights is officially underway, and Margot Robbie’s ensembles for each and every event are a gift that keeps on giving. For the film’s world premiere, held at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Jan. 28, the actress, who stars as Catherine Earnshaw in the adaptation of Emily Brontë’s classic, put on a showstopping display in an ombré black and red gown.
The custom Schiaparelli garment was a gothic era daydream, consisting of a strapless, sweetheart neckline and lace bodice that gave way to a voluminous tiered skirt that transitioned from black to crimson before meeting the floor.
The film’s official Instagram account shared several reels from the Wednesday evening event, including a stunning clip of Robbie posing for photographers on the red carpet. “A vision,” read part of the caption—a major understatement.
The comments section was quickly flooded with fans calling out Robbie’s remarkable attire for the evening.
“That dress!!! Perfection 😍❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥,” one person wrote.
“She is beautiful as always,” actress Rachel Thomas gushed.
“Pure visual poetry,” another person declared. “Hauntingly beautiful!😍😍.”
Wuthering Heights, which costars Jacob Elordi in the role of Heathcliff, hits theaters on Friday, Feb. 13. The pair, who just appeared on the cover of Vogue Australia together, share a mutual adoration for one another. In a recent interview, Robbie, 35, noted that she grew to feel “codependent” on Elordi, 28, while filming. And while on the red carpet last night, the Oscar-nominated actress gushed over the project in its entirety.
“We all had a really good time working together,” Robbie told The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet last night. “ ... We were set up to succeed on this one. The script was incredible, Emerald had a very clear vision. Cathy and Heathcliff are two of the most iconic lovers in literary history and so we had a lot of things on our side.”

As previously mentioned, the film’s press tour has brought forth several stunning looks on Robbie’s part. In reuniting with stylist Andrew Mukamal—who fans will remember collaborated with the actress for some iconic ensembles during the Barbie press tour in 2023—the two have been bringing their A-game. Below are just a few examples of the magic they’ve created together this week alone.
