Margot Robbie & Jacob Elordi Embrace Dreamy, Dramatic Vibes for ‘Vogue Australia’ Cover

Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi are quickly becoming our “pure obsession,” which certainly makes the title of their Vogue Australia cover story very fitting.
The two will star opposite each other in writer/director Emerald Fennell’s upcoming retelling of Emily Brontë’s classic Wuthering Heights. The press tour for the film is officially in full, stylish swing, and this week, the duo sat down with Vogue Australia for a joint interview accompanied by a stunning photo shoot.
“Wild Romance”
The two actors—who both hail from Queensland—posed for multiple breathtaking cover shots with the Australian publication, with two covers showcasing the pair together and two featuring them solo.
Captured by Lachlan Bailey, one of the aforementioned couple covers saw the pair holding each other tight in a romantic embrace as golden sunlight poured through the space between them. Meanwhile, the second cover saw them seated side by side, staring down Bailey’s lens, with Robbie styled in a black crop top and a patterned midi skirt, while Elordi rocked a cozy-looking all-cream look.
Other snapshots featured in the spread were just as chic, highlighting the duo’s undeniable chemistry. Throughout the feature, the pair were styled in a timeless designer wardrobe comprising bold colors, classic cuts and dramatic accessories. And speaking of dramatic: Robbie’s solo cover was precisely that, with the actress sporting a truly unique black gown by Tom Ford, designed with a sensational swooping neckline.
Fan reactions
The hype surrounding Fennell’s film is reaching a fever pitch as fans edge closer to the release on February 13, and those same fans were quick to hop in Vogue Australia’s many comment sections on Instagram to share their excitement:
“Quite literally the best photos ever,” one user declared.
“I’m not sure who I’m more attracted to and I love it 🤤🤤,” a fan joked.
“marketing department is taking no prisoners i see,” another added.
“Dreamy, edgy, top Aussies 🔥,” one commenter concluded.
“Pure Obsession”
For the article itself, the two stars were captured in conversation, chatting about their respective upbringings in Australia and their experience working on the upcoming gothic drama. Still, you better believe Robbie was unafraid to ask the important questions fans are wondering about—like whether Elordi preferred his long-haired or short-haired look as Heathcliff.
“My next question for you. Which do you prefer: your Jesus Elordi look or your glow-up Heathcliff look?” Robbie posited. She then added, “To give you context, we called him Jesus Elordi when he had the long hair and the beard [inWuthering Heights]. He looked like my teenage fantasy of John Proctor inThe Crucible, played by Daniel Day-Lewis.”
Of course, Elordi already had an answer locked in, telling his costar, “Jesus Elordi is the answer.” Robbie approved, responding, “Great answer.”
