Back in early October, we covered the rising resurgence of cozy academia fashion—spotted on celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence, Anya Taylor-Joy, Demi Lovato and more during Paris Fashion Week. Over a month later, it’s still a seasonal go-to this autumn, with Olivia Ponton exhibiting the trend to Instagram with a super on-brand backdrop.

The model and content creator took a monochromatic approach with her latest look, which she shared with her 2.8 million followers on the app on Wednesday, Nov. 19. In the photo, she scanned the shelves of a bookstore, reaching for a potential new find while sporting a black mock-neck long-sleeve dress and matching heeled boots. In her arms, she cradled a crocodile-printed tote bag, along with the novel Lightlark by Alex Aster.

“booked&busy,” Ponton wrote in the post’s caption. The author of Lightlark, Aster, also popped into the comment section, writing, “👀👀👀.” Perhaps the 2022 fantasy novel—which is the first of four books in the Lightlark saga—is on the horizon for episode two of Ponton’s podcast? We can’t confirm just yet, though the monthly podcast, also titled Booked & Busy, is approaching its second installment. Its first episode was released on Oct. 27.

In case you missed it, the debut of the monthly YouTube series delved into another fantasy bestseller, Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. “Reading is kind of my escape away from the world,” Ponton explained at the beginning of its first episode. She added that the hobby has “taught [her] to slow down” while navigating life in the Big Apple and elaborated that her interest in fantasy literature sparked her journey into creating book-related content, which began on TikTok and molded into her latest series.

“I was noticing in the book community that I was struggling to find somewhere where I could have actual in-depth conversations; and while I was thinking about this, I was like, ‘Why don’t I just create a community?’” Ponton said in an interview with Grazia.

She also told the publication what’s on the horizon as the platform continues to grow. “I think the first few episodes, I really want to do them by myself, so the viewers can get to know me. But later down the road, I want my favorite authors on it.” At the time of publication, a release date for Ponton’s latest episode has not been disclosed.
