Sabrina Carpenter Puts Her Stamp of Approval on This Popular 2025 Fabric Trend

The pop star is promoting her upcoming album with daily Instagram photo drops.

Sabrina Carpenter is ditching her signature cottagecore looks for something a little more beachy—and a little less garden-y.

The 26-year-old pop star—who’s gearing up for the release of her seventh studio album Man’s Best Friend on Aug. 29—took to Instagram for yet another one of her iconic photo drops. True to form, she’s continuing her campaign to make Instagram casual again, and she‘s looking so good doing it.

The “Feather” singer kicked off the carousel with a sweet mirror selfie, rocking a barely there ivory crochet dress. The micro mesh piece featured an off-the-shoulder neckline, netted fabric and a concealed drawstring that sat low on her waist to cinch the relaxed silhouette just enough. Underneath, she layered a simple white bra and let her sculpted, hourglass figure and flawless face card take center stage.

Her glam was radiant as ever: a glass skin base, rosy cheeks, feathered brows, fluttery lashes and a matte pinky-taupe lip that gave her the perfect Y2K pout. The Pennsylvania native added navy blue leather bow peep-toe heels from Dior to ground the look with a touch of vintage elegance.

In her caption, Carpenter teased, “10 days left where my dawgs atttt,” sending people spiraling with excitement for the upcoming album drop.

The post was quickly flooded with comments from fans, fellow celebs and even brands. Everyone’s on the edge of their seat waiting for Man’s Best Friend—an album that promises to be just as viral and addictive as Short n’ Sweet. The 2024 project, which included megahits “Espresso” and “Please Please Please,” earned the artist eight nominations at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.

Crochet, one of the year’s biggest trends, is being reinvented through the Disney Channel alum’s lens: less poolside cover-up, more flirty high-fashion flex.

Sabrina summer is in full swing, and crochet is certified pop princess approved.
