Travis Kelce Has Great Taste—Everything We Know About Taylor Swift’s Engagement Ring

It‘s a “Love Story” and the most famous pop star in the world just said “Yes!”

Taylor Swift’s friendship bracelet with Travis Kelce’s number just got the sparkliest upgrade of all time—a diamond big enough to “make the whole place shimmer.” The power couple, who are easily the most-watched romance of the moment, is officially engaged.

The news dropped via a joint Instagram post, and let’s just say Swifties and NFL fans alike are fumbling for words.

“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” Swift captioned the dreamy carousel, which racked up 11 million likes in an hour. In peak main character fashion, she set the post to her Tortured Poets Department track “So High School,” in which she sings, “No one’s ever had me, not like you.” And those lyrics have never felt truer!

In the first snap, the Kansas City tight end is on one knee, holding the singer’s waist with one hand and the ring box in the other. Swift wore a striped Ralph Lauren dress with red platform heels for an on-brand pop of color. Behind the pair was a beautiful floral backdrop consisting of countless pink and white flowers with green shrubs in the foreground.

In the second slide, the pair gazed into each other’s eyes, fully soaking up their newly engaged glow. The third photo delivered the close-up we all needed—a brilliant cushion-cut ring that’s custom, colossal and, honestly, exactly what we’d expect.

Kelce, who already has three Super Bowl rings, clearly knows a thing or two about stacking some extra ice on his fingers. He teamed up with Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry to design the bezel-set gold sparkler, valued at around $550,000.

“We love how unique Taylor’s ring is, and how it reflects her personal style with a vintage-inspired aesthetic. The diamond is an antique cut elongated cushion, around eight carats,” Annie Chen, SVP of merchandising and design at Brilliant Earth, said in a press statement. “The yellow gold setting has an exposed gallery wire, which gives it the effect of a bezel, but it is technically set with prongs. The setting is outlined with milgrain detail, which adds to its vintage appeal, along with the tapered shank, which appears to be accented with hand engraving and smaller diamond accents.”

When did they begin dating?

Swift and Kelce first sparked dating rumors in 2023 when she attended a game at Arrowhead Stadium, just months after he gushed on his New Heights podcast about catching her Eras Tour. Since then, the couple has kept much of their relationship private, but the 14-time Grammy Award winner all but broke the internet earlier this month when she announced her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, on that very same show, which Travis cohosts with his brother, retired Eagles player Jason Kelce.

We’re sure today’s news is giving that record-breaking episode—which briefly crashed YouTube and became the most-watched podcast premiere in history—a run for its money.
