Christie Brinkley Shares Gorgeous Throwback to Vintage Photo Shoot Riding a Bike in White Bikini

The iconic supermodel and mom of three frequently shares archived magazine pics on Instagram.

Christie Brinkley is the queen of pulling from the archives. The supermodel shared a gorgeous vintage throwback post from a Harper's Bazaar photo shoot with her 850,000 Instagram followers on May 4. She donned a white swimsuit and a navy blue puffer vest with several pockets. Brinkley accessorized with a “Brooklyn” baseball cap and fingerless gloves as she posed on a bright red bicycle with one knee up. Her eyes were closed in the sun for French photographer Patrick Demarchelier.

“Throwing it back to a shoot for @harpersbazaarus in my favorite location, St Barths with one of my favorite photographers @patrickdemarchelier,” she captioned the photo. “Looking back from here it’s hard to believe I was worried about my weight. I was considered athletic, which was an industry way of saying I wasn’t skinny which in my business can really weigh on a model!”

“While that’s punny, lol, that could be a real negative back then … but I was lucky because things were starting to change, and it also meant I got all the outdoorsy shoots I loved,” she continued. “Give me beaches and mountains over gowns in studios any day! Ahhh I can still feel that warm sun and the breeze beckoning us to go for a windsurf as soon as we get the shots!”

“Omg I had this on my bedroom wall,” artist Justin Maas recalled in the comments. “Told me mom it was because of the bike 😂.”
