WNBA player DiDi Richards traded her jersey for a series of stunning, sleek and edgy looks during her SI Swimsuit feature in 2022. The former New York Liberty shooting guard was photographed by Laretta Houston in the breathtaking St. Thomas.
The 24-year-old was named the 2020 Naismith Defensive Player of the Year and Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. She graduated from Baylor University in 2021 and was quickly drafted to the WNBA.
“I’m trying to continue to push the ‘diva’ side of the game; you can be beautiful and have nails, lashes, and still be a hard player on the court. Like somebody that’s gonna get down and guard,” Richards said about embracing her femininity while also dominating on the court. “Second to that is resiliency, somebody that’s still gonna pop back up and be able to fight through it all. I want my legacy to stand on me being resilient in every aspect of life.”
