Actress Lucy Hale has officially marked two years of sobriety, and the 34-year-old opened up to her Instagram followers about the matter in the hopes of helping others.

On Jan. 2, the Pretty Little Liars star shared a graphic on social media, which has tracked her progress thus far. It displayed that Hale has abstained from alcohol for 24 months straight. Last year, Hale shared her story as a Valentine’s Day-themed gift of self-love as she marked her first year free of alcohol.

“This continues to be the greatest gift I’ve given myself,” Hale noted in her caption on Tuesday. “I remain so grateful for another year of growth, growing pains, lessons, joys, and self realizations. To be able to show up as myself and to be greeted with such warmth and acceptance is something I do not take for granted ♥️.”

Her carousel also featured a powerful quote by F. Scott Fitzgerald on change and a photo of Hale bundled up in a camel-colored jacket looking out at a body of water.

She ended her message with inspiring words of encouragement for others who may be grappling with substance issues of their own.

“Lastly, if you are struggling please know you are not alone and that you do not have to trek this path alone,” Hale shared. “There is no right or wrong way to heal and it is deeply personal and unique to each of us. My only advice is to remain open hearted, curious, and to find the people who see and support you.”
