Professional Surfer Anastasia Ashley Is Thriving on Surf Trip in Hawaii

The 2014 SI Swimsuit model shared a fun TikTok of herself catching waves in Hawai’i.

Even in the middle of winter, Anastasia Ashley is living her beach girl dreams. The professional surfer shared a fun TikTok from a recent vacation in Hawai’i on Feb. 27.

The video was set to the sound of Coldplay’s “Counting Stars” and involved snippets of Ashley riding waves, diving underwater, skateboarding and running through the sand. She showed off her colorful bikinis, sundresses and wetsuits as well as her sun-kissed tan skin and natural wavy hair.

“This is life,” she captioned the post she shared with her 800,000 followers.

“OBX lifestyle,” read the on-screen text, in reference to Netflix’s hit show, Outer Banks, which just dropped its third season. “But in Hawaii.”

Ashley is active on her Instagram as well, where she regularly shares bikini content, surfing and skateboarding videos, and some sponsored posts with her one million followers.

The 36-year-old athlete was featured in the 2014 SI Swimsuit Issue when she was photographed by Adam Franzino in Guana Island, British Virgin Islands.

“It was something I always dreamed of doing, like who doesn’t want to be in a magazine with all of the most beautiful women in the world,” she gushed to Fox News. “Sports Illustrated is such a cool thing because it’s an athlete magazine, and it’s rad that they put athletes in the swimsuit issue every year because athletes have great bodies just like the models, maybe a little more athletic and toned but I think it’s really nice that they showcase that. So, this year they approached me, and asked if I wanted to do it and I was like, ‘Hell yeah, let’s do this.’” 

Ashley added that she was beyond excited when she got the first call from the Swim Team.

“This is definitely such a cool pinnacle in my career and it’s just out of this world,” she said at the time. “[I am] totally willing to take chances on this shoot. I mean it’s Sports Illustrated, you’ve gotta give it your best shot.”
