Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have revealed the name of their second child and, of course, it’s something totally unpredictable. The “Where Have You Been” singer and “Praise the Lord” rapper, who share their 1-year-old son, RZA, welcomed their newborn baby boy last month.

The Blast, which obtained a copy of the baby’s birth certificate, reported that the couple named him Riot Rose Mayers. While the name seems out of the ordinary and thus totally on-brand for the musically gifted parents of two, Riot is also the name of the 34-year-old’s latest single featuring Pharrell Williams. “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’n),” which was released on July 20, and is the rapper’s second single from his upcoming fourth studio album, Don’t Be Dumb.

“Rihanna feels her family is now complete,” a source close to the family told People shortly after the baby was born on Aug. 1 at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. “It’s something she’s always wanted."

The 35-year-old Savage x Fenty founder debuted the news of her second pregnancy in a way that most definitely broke the internet and will be remembered for decades to come: during her 2023 Super Bowl halftime show performance.

“We’re best friends with a baby. We have to be on the same page, but we’ve always kind of had that in our relationship,” the Fenty Beauty creator said of her relationship with her partner. “Everything changes when you have a baby, but I wouldn’t say it’s done anything but made us closer.”

The two first started dating in November 2020 and have been inseparable since.
