In case you missed it, July 7 was National Bikini Day, and plenty of A-listers celebrated in style. Salma Hayek used the occasion to share a photo of herself in a colorful, geometric print two-piece on Instagram. The Magic Mike’s Last Dance star also provided a thoughtful message in her caption.

She stood in a pool up to her thighs and posed with her hands on her bikini bottoms. Hayek accessorized with gold dangle earrings and appeared to be sporting minimal makeup.

“Happy #NationalBikiniDay! 👙,” the 56-year-old actress wrote. “Can you believe the bikini has only been around for 77 years?! Let’s hope they don’t ban them too #notathrowback.”

Plenty of the Academy Award nominee’s 25 million followers on the platform piped in to the comments section with praise.

“From Desperado till today, die hard fan of yours ma’am,” one person wrote, referencing the 1995 Robert Rodriguez film.

“From 54 to Magic Mikes Last Dance, Salma is constantly redefining beauty,” Jared E. Katz noted. “But for me, I love the Salma voice! It’s one of my favorite voices. She always puts things in perspective. #icon #retrainthebrain.”

“Oh my goodness wow 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️,” Nilam Holmes applauded.

“It was such a taboo wearing a bikini 👙 around 70 years back in many countries. ✌️💙,” another follower noted.
