Selena Gomez Breaks Supposed Social Media Break, Reveals Golden Globes Conversation With Taylor Swift

The actress and singer BFF duo went viral for their gossip session during the award ceremony.

Selena Gomez is supposedly taking another social media break—but not before setting the record straight on that hot gossip session with BFF Taylor Swift during the Golden Globes.

We know you know what we’re talking about—the viral video is everywhere and fans, haters and amateur lip readers alike have all shared their own thoughts on what the fierce female duo could have been talking about.

The general consensus, however, was that Gomez came up to the 12-time Grammy Award winner, who was a nominee at Sunday night’s event, and supposedly spilled the beans about how Kylie Jenner said “no” when Gomez asked to take a picture with the reality star’s boyfriend, Wonka actor Timothée Chalamet.

“selena must got some hot tea cuz taylor was GAGGED 😭,” One X (formerly known as Twitter) user shared,” while another wished to be a “fly on the wall” during that seemingly juicy conversation.

E! News shared a glimpse into the situation on their Instagram account, and the Only Murders in the Building actress chimed in to tell the truth.

“Noooooo I told Taylor about two of my friends who hooked up,” Gomez explained in a comment. “Not that that’s anyone business.”

The 31-year-old Disney Channel alumna also took to her Instagram story soon after to announce another social media break.

“I’m off social for a while,” she wrote on Jan. 9 alongside a video featuring her boyfriend, producer Benny Blanco “I’m focusing on what really matters.”

But first, she shared a gorgeous recap carousel showing off her look from the evening—a gorgeous satin red gown, custom made by Giorgio Armani, featuring a criss-cross neckline, cut-outs and rose details.

Stylist Erin Walsh added som glam to the outfit with tons of diamond jewelry from Bulgari, and ruby pointed toe pumps from Christian Louboutin.
