Mandy Moore’s Scarlet Manicure Serves As the Ultimate Holiday Nail Inspiration

A cherry red nail is always in, and we’re especially loving the look as the calendar turns to November.

Mandy Moore’s all-red Vogue World ensemble didn’t just sport the shade from head to toe—it reached the very tips of her fingers with a vibrant ruby nail polish. The 41-year-old actress, who has been spotted on big screens and television alike for over two decades, repped the evening apparel on Oct. 26 in Los Angeles, and we’re still thinking about the details of her figure-hugging ’fit.

The outfit

On location, Moore donned a sequin-adorned gown from Rodarte, the label’s PS26 Red Sequin Slip Dress, it revealed on Instagram. While the brand’s specific garment does not appear to be available for purchase at the time of publish, a similar gown ($2,850) in a slip style is available for pre-order and features a striking floral decal. The remainder of Moore’s outfit was completed with a custom leather Tyler Ellis Perry Clutch ($3,500), Le Silla close-toed cherry pumps and dainty Anita Ko jewelry.

The manicure

Moore debuted her look’s details to her 5.4 million Instagram fanbase after the festivities commenced in the Golden State. And, in the final frame of her eight-slide carousel, her rounded red nails starred front and center—nearly blending in perfectly with the patent leather bag in hand. The polish’s shade, which leaned neither too cool nor too warm, is still giving us major holiday cheer a week later—and we made sure to mentally bookmark the hue for our first December nail appointment.

The actress followed her night out on the town with a cozy stroll with her trio of children, Gus, Ozzie and Lou, five days later as the family trick-or-treated together to round out their October. And, as the holiday season gets into full swing and 2026 appears on the horizon, Moore will be gearing up for the release of a brand new on-screen project, joining William H. Macy and Christopher Meloni for a new Hulu football drama, which will premiere in 2026, Deadline revealed.

“I feel like Taylor Swift; I’ve had to learn all about the NFL. I knew nothing about the NFL,” Moore joked with Jenna Bush Hager and Craig Melvin on TODAY with Jenna & Friends this morning, Nov. 3. Moore then elaborated on her role, adding, “I play the daughter of the owner of an NFL team, so I get to be sort of a real boss.”
