Paulina Porizkova Says This Will Never Go Out of Style: ‘It’s Timeless’

The 10-time SI Swimsuit model got candid about beauty on Instagram.

Paulina Porizkova is an open book when it comes to self-acceptance. The iconic beauty regularly shares wisdom with her social media followers when it comes to embracing herself at the age of 57 and encouraging her fans to celebrate their own aging process.

The 10-time SI Swimsuit model shared some more thoughtful advice in a Feb. 21 Instagram post. In the snapshot, Porizkova stood wearing only a pair of gold pointed-toe high heels as she held up a sequined green dress to cover her nude body.

The caption she shared with her 997,000 followers was all about what the model calls “secret beauty,” or inner beauty.

“When you’re deemed ‘beautiful’ by societal standards, your outward facing shell is celebrated. You get pretty privilege until you age out of it,” she poetically wrote. “That sort of beauty is shiny and flashy, like a sequined dress. It instantly draws attention. But, it’s hardly comfortable, besides, the sequins will rub and eventually fall off.”

Porizkova then noted that secret—or inner—beauty is a garment that lasts forever.

“It will never go out of style, because it’s never really been in style. It’s timeless,” she wrote of the coined term. “Secret beauty doesn’t age. It only gets better the more it’s worn.”

Plenty of the two-time SI Swimsuit Issue cover model’s followers chimed in to the comments section, as they were smitten with her point of view.

“You are real genuine beauty, better by the minute. Thank you for the inspiration Paulina,” Carolina Castro gushed.

“Beautiful words, thank you for sharing ❤️❤️,” Nicole Elizabeth Berger wrote.

“I absolutely love this. Your ability to go beyond the surface of what constitutes beauty is such a breath of fresh air,” another follower added. “Thank you for sharing with us all.”
