‘She Got Game Weekend’: Flavor Flav Hosts Event Celebrating Women’s Olympians and Paralympians

Flavor Flav is keeping his promise to celebrate the U.S. women’s hockey team in Las Vegas this summer, and—in the spirit of the location—he just upped the ante.
The U.S. women’s hockey team wins gold at 2026 Milan Cortina Games
In case you missed it, the recording artist has been vocal about his support for women in sports for years, regularly attending the Olympics to cheer on various members of Team USA. And earlier this week, he focused this support on the U.S. women’s hockey team following leaked footage of a call between the U.S. men’s hockey team and President Trump.
During their celebration in the locker room after winning gold at the Milan Cortina Games on Sunday, Feb. 22—a feat the team accomplished for the first time in 46 years—the President called to congratulate the U.S. men’s hockey team and invite them to the State of the Union address, also using the moment to “joke” about how he was “going to have to” invite the U.S. women’s hockey team, as well. The U.S. women’s hockey team has secured podium placement in the last eight consecutive Olympic Games, earning a medal at every single showing since their formation in 1998, including winning gold this year against Canada on Thursday, Feb. 19. Both teams now have a total of three gold medals.
Fans the world over have been vocal in their disappointment following the viral moment, with Flavor Flav among them. Shortly following the incident, the rapper took to social media to offer the U.S. women’s hockey team the celebration they deserve—and now, he and the brands joining him are extending the invite to all female Olympian and Paralympian medalists.
Beloved brands and famous faces rally around female Olympians and Paralympians
Flavor Flav took to Instagram this week to officially announce “She Got Game Weekend”: an event celebrating female Olympians and Paralympians. “I wanna invite ALL the female Olympic and Paralympic medalists from the United States out to Vegas and we got you covered,” Flavor Flav wrote in the caption of his announcement. “We gonna do some nice dinners, throw a big party and a parade and a concert,,, and go to some concerts and shows.”
And the recording artist got plenty of other big names on board to ensure the elite athletes in attendance won’t have to worry about a thing. In fact, one look at the comment section reveals countless more brands and celebs are ready to hop in to ensure the party-filled weekend goes off without a hitch.
“Yes! What do you need?? I’m there!” Lance Bass asked.
“The team will need to stay hydrated in that Vegas heat,” the official account for Stanley noted. “We’d love to send some swag for this iconic crew!”
“Flav, [Olay] and us would love to keep the party fresh! We reached out to your team on how we can help 🩵,” the official account for Secret Deodorant offered.
“With absolute pleasure, we will welcome those interested our elegantly risqué show ✨🍸💄✨,” Dita Vonn Teese added.
The event is currently slated to take place in Las Vegas from July 16 through 19, and we’re beyond excited to see what else these deserving athletes have in store. Oh, and of course: we offer a massive congratulations to the U.S. women’s hockey team on their incredible victory!
