As an actress, producer, entrepreneur and mother, is there anything Reese Witherspoon can’t do? The Morning Show star recently chatted with Harper’s Bazaar and revealed that, at 47, she knows exactly what she wants out of life, regardless of other people’s opinions.

“I think you start to realize there’s a finite amount of time that you have to accomplish what you want to accomplish in this world and that worrying about other people’s opinions of you is a waste of your precious time,” she told the outlet. “It’s a liberation in your 40s to feel free of other people’s opinions. I mean, they’re always there. They just don’t matter as much to you, and it’s a great feeling.”

Witherspoon is featured on the cover of the magazine’s August issue and was photographed by Cass Bird. On July 12, the actress shared a selection of pics from the session on Instagram along with a note of gratitude.

“So honored to be on the August cover of @harpersbazaarus and describe my passion for shining a big BRIGHT light on untold stories with @hellosunshine,” she wrote. “t's such a thrill to watch women all over this beautiful world express themselves in a way I never possibly imagined. Dreams do come true! ✨📚📺🎬💫😊.”
