Jenna Ortega for ‘Wednesday,’ Alison Brie for ‘Together’ and the Best Celeb Fashion This Week

What’s that smell? Is that...is that salt air? And is that—no, it can’t be. Is that the rust on your door?! (This joke is really only going to land with Taylor Swift fans, apologies.)
Anyway, happy August! And another week gone by means it’s time for another collection of the best celeb looks. The past seven days have had plenty of fashion-forward moments to choose from thanks to a mix of major movie premieres, exciting sporting events and highly anticipated summer tours.
So with that in mind, let’s take a look back at the very best celeb fashion moments from July 25 through Aug. 1:
Jenna Ortega for the Wednesday premiere in London
It was nearly impossible to pick one favorite look from Ortega’s recent fashion run while promoting the second season of Wednesday. There was her goth spin on corpcore, her Givenchy number and what we’ll lovingly be referring to as her “killer vampire queen” ensemble—and that’s just naming a few from this past week.
Still, it’s impossible to ignore the look she wore at the London premiere, as the overall vibe embodied everything that comes to mind when fans think about this actress’s already iconic aesthetic.
Lindsay Lohan for the Freakier Friday premiere in London
In a new take on an old standby, Lohan stole the hearts of all in attendance with this elevated reference to her own Freaky Friday character’s act three ensemble.
The lilac shade of the gown was pure pastel perfection, and the shimmery nature of the fabric only added to the gentle glow that seemed to emanate from the superstar as she glided down the red carpet. Still, the cherry on top of the throwback look was easily the mini red guitar purse she carried, as it was a direct reference to the same red guitar her character played while wearing the very dress she’s also referencing.
Jade Cargill for SiriusXM
As a pro wrestling fan myself (hi, it’s me, the real human being writing the article you’re reading), it’s impossible not to feel the swell of excitement radiating from the fandom this week as we head into SummersSlam, one of the brand’s biggest premium live events of the year. And with big events come big swings in the style department—something Cargill certainly demonstrated when she stopped by SiriusXM.
The superstar donned a daring two-piece blue set ahead of her match on Saturday, where she’ll challenge reigning WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton for the title. The ruffles in the piece added a fun and flirty vibe, while the cut was perfect for showing off her toned physique, letting any challengers know she’s in fighting shape with no plans of playing around this weekend.
Alison Brie for the Together premiere in Los Angeles
Brie may be starring in a graphic horror movie guaranteed to give us all nightmares, but her wardrobe for the press tour has been nothing short of a dream.
One standout moment in particular was the red-hot fitted number she sported at the Los Angeles premiere. Channeling full old Hollywood glamour, the corset-style top cinched expertly for a gorgeous final silhouette. Meanwhile, the simple skirt, matching mini purse and sparkling heels added an elevated elegance to the overall ensemble. It's no wonder her love interest in the film—played by IRL husband Dave Franco—is literally being drawn to her.
Julia Garner for the Weapons premiere in Los Angeles
August is a big month for horror movies with the upcoming release of both Together and Weapons, but it’s also apparently a big week for horror movie actresses killing it on the red carpet! Garner tapped into a rising summer trend by rocking this pretty white gown positively covered in black polka dots.
The pattern alone was a show-stopper, as polka dots have become the unofficial print of this summer, but the dramatic shape of the gown was what really sealed the deal. The one-shoulder look, the massive fluttery sleeve, the black belt around the waist—it’s impossible to pick a favorite part of this lovely piece...so we won’t! The whole thing is our favorite part, and that includes the marvelously talented actress wearing it.
Jessie Murph for the Worldwide Hysteria Tour
Murph has had quite a busy couple of weeks, but somehow—between the release of her new album, her performances on late-night TV and her being featured as the digital cover star of SI Swimsuit’s July 2025 issue—the singer managed to squeeze in a tour. And as if that wasn’t enough on its own, she also pulled out all the stops when it came to her style.
The stunning silver two-piece set she wore for her stop in Texas glittered under the bright stage lights, reflecting a metallic aura off the artist for an ethereal moment. Consisting of a collared crop top with lacy white sleeves and matching micro shorts, it was the perfect 1960s-inspired set.
Keke Palmer for The Pickup premiere in Los Angeles
We’re clearly fans of Palmer here at SI Swimsuit as she’s been featured on this list nearly every week—but it’s impossible not to notice how this talented actress and singer is also quickly becoming a style icon in her own right.
The one-shoulder gown she wore to the Los Angeles premiere of her upcoming Prime film was the perfect example, as it was stylish, stunning and sultry thanks to the sheer paneling and form-fitting cut. The actress’s hair was also exquisite, with the radiant red shade adding a pop of color to the muted ensemble for a red carpet glam that was equal parts elegant and jaw-dropping.
Lauren Chan for Reneé Rapp’s BITE ME album launch dinner
We admittedly might be a little biased on this one—considering she’s one of four cover models for SI Swimsuit’s 2025 issue—but we feel confident saying that Chan never misses when it comes to crafting fashion-forward outfits that also fit into her own personal style.
The daring ensemble she donned for Reneé Rapp’s album launch dinner this week encapsulated a fun-loving energy, with the plunging neckline providing a sultry peek of skin while the capris acted as added comfort for a final look that positively screamed, “Hi, I’m the coolest person at this dinner party...and you are?”
And finally, an honorable mention for the most stylish gentleman of the week: Chad Michael Murray for the Freakier Friday press tour
Our gentlemanly shoutout for this week goes to Mr. Murray for his delightful fashion choices while promoting Freakier Friday. Murray was the definition of a “heartthrob” while riding around on that motorcycle in the 2003 classic, and now he’s reminding fans at every press event and red carpet that too-cool-for-school style doesn’t have an age limit.
While the actor has had plenty of fantastic moments over the last few weeks to choose from, his suit for the recent London premiere jumped out as a contender for one of his best. The unique chain design—which appeared to be spray-painted right onto the fabric—elevated an otherwise simple black suit while also adding a tongue-in-cheek bit of Y2K “bad boy” flair.
