Sabrina Carpenter Is Almost Unrecognizable in Throwback Hairstyle for Dior Show

Don’t mind us, we’re just digging our favorite old barrettes out of storage.

Sabrina Carpenter was in France on Friday for Paris Fashion Week, and she quickly showed fans she didn’t travel abroad to play around—oh no, she was there to serve, slay, stun and pretty much any other positive “s” word you could think of.

The singing sensation has claimed two summers in a row thanks to her 2024 hit single “Espresso” and her latest release “Manchild,” with both tunes topping the charts and getting stuck in our heads for days at a time. Seriously, have you been able to order coffee in the last year without thinking about how you’re working late ‘cause you’re a singer? That’s what we thought.

And this week, Carpenter continued her takeover of our minds, hearts and social media feeds thanks to one fabulously fashionable moment in Paris for the Dior Menswear Spring/Summer 2026 collection.

Donning an outfit that was the word “demure” personified, the Grammy-winning artist attended the beloved designer brand event in style. Wearing a deep gray two-piece suit featuring a tailored blazer and pleated knee-length skirt, the overall outfit was the popular corpcore trend elevated to the next level. Her waist was also expertly cinched thanks to the blazer, leaving her with the perfect silhouette.

Her makeup was done in her classic old Hollywood glam style with blended neutral eyeshadows, plush lashes and rosy cheek, though there was a delightful late ‘90s twist to the look thanks to the deep brown lip.

Still, there’s no denying the real standout here was Carpenter’s hairstyle. Her signature shag bangs were completely gone, as her blonde locks were parted to the side in a switch-up from her usual middle part. She also ditched her soft curls for a chic and sleek straight style, making the artist almost unrecognizable.

And the “Busy Woman” singer had a very busy week ahead of her stylish trip to Paris Fashion Week, as she also debuted the alternate cover art for her highly anticipated upcoming Man’s Best Friend album, which is slated for release in August.

The alternate cover art comes on the heels of some backlash the artist experienced around the original album cover, which featured the artist in a rather compromising position. “New cover approved by God,” Carpenter joked in the caption, referencing the reaction with her usual tongue-in-cheek humor.

But this isn’t the first time the singer has opened up about social media’s strong response to something she’s released, telling Rolling Stone in her cover feature earlier this month, “It’s always so funny to me when people complain. They’re like, ‘All she does is sing about [sex],’ but those are the songs that you’ve made popular. Clearly you love sex. You’re obsessed with it. It’s in my show.”

Man’s Best Friend is available for preorder now.
