Sydney Sweeney’s Christy press tour has been filled with standout looks, but her latest fall-coded ensemble may be her most polished yet. The Emmy-nominated actress stepped out in Los Angeles for the premiere of the highly anticipated biopic, where she embodied modern-day prep school energy with an elevated twist.

The event, presented by Film Independent, was held at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood on Oct. 11.

Back to school style, reimagined

Styled by her longtime collaborator Molly Dickson, the 28-year-old ditched her usual flirty silhouettes in favor of something more tailored and classic. She wore a crisp white button-up shirt, fastened all the way to the collar, layered under a brown, structured, oversized blazer that cinched at the waist with a sleek coordinating belt.

The look felt like a nod to old-school New England academia—polished, professional and super pretty.

She paired the blazer set with a gray herringbone tweed A-line skirt that hit just below the knees, further leaning into a vintage-inspired aesthetic. Finishing the look was a pair of brown leather boots that rose just past the Washington native’s calves, striking a balance between elegance and edge.

Simple glam with major impact

Sweeney’s glam—courtesy of makeup artist Melissa Hernandez and hairstylist Glen Oropeza—was kept understated but stunning. Her skin glowed with a luminous base and soft peachy blush, while glossy nude lips and feathered brows enhanced her natural beauty. Wispy lashes framed her icy blue eyes, offering just the right touch of drama.

Her long blonde-brown locks were styled in soft, voluminous waves that cascaded down her shoulders.

More coziness

Later that day, the Euphoria and Anyone But You star stepped out in another Brunello Cucinelli look, proving she’s fully in her fall fashion era. She wore a beige sequin-embellished cashmere sweater layered over a white chiffon blouse with bow and hem details peeking out—an unexpectedly sweet pairing.

The Laneige and Armani Beauty ambassador completed the outfit with wide-leg dark-wash jeans, leaning into cozy, casual sophistication.

A powerful role

Christy, set to hit theaters on Nov. 28, tells the story of Christy Martin, a trailblazing boxer who shattered gender norms in the male-dominated world of professional fighting. Sweeney, who leads the film and was honored with the Achievement in Acting Award at the Hamptons International Film Festival, has spoken openly about the transformative experience of stepping into such a powerful role—and returning to the ring after years away from combat sports. The White Lotus alum, who trained in jujitsu and kickboxing as a teen, said the role was both physically demanding and deeply inspiring.

“I truly felt Christy’s power as I transformed... I trained with incredible boxing coaches, weight trainers, and nutritionists that helped me get to the place that I was for Christy,” Sweeney told Deadline at the Toronto International Film Festival.

We have no doubt she’ll be delivering knockout performances on screen and on the carpet all season long.
