Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi Announce They’ve Adopted a Baby Girl

Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi are officially parents!

The 21-year-old actress announced on Instagram today that she and her husband have adopted a baby girl.

“This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” the actress wrote. “We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were 3. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.”

The couple—who met through mutual friends and began dating in 2021—tied the knot back in May of 2024 in a private ceremony surrounded by family. The wedding came just over a year after they got engaged, and only a few months after Brown starred in The Electric State and began filming Enola Holmes 3, continuing her powerhouse run on Netflix.

Brown and Bongiovi were young when they got married—20 and 22, respectively—and Brown is well aware of that. Still, that doesn’t mean the decision was impulsive or rushed.

“We were pretty united going into it,” she shared in a Vanity Fair cover story. “We talked about our political views, what kind of family we want to build, the kind of home we want to live in, the kind of relationship we’re looking for, the kind of careers we want. It’s such an important decision, and we wanted to make sure we were making the right one. I knew I was. It always felt right with him.”

Bongiovi—the 23-year-old actor and son of musician Jon Bon Jovi—has appeared in campaigns for brands like Mugler and accompanied Brown to red carpet events throughout their relationship. Though both maintain busy schedules, they’ve also been intentional about carving out time for each other—and now, their growing family.

Brown has never shied away from sharing her dream of becoming a mom and raising a big family.

“My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19. And you know, it’s been my thing since before I met Jake,” she said on the SmartLess podcast. “Since I was a baby, I told my mom—like, baby dolls—I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me. Of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it’s so important to start a family for me.”

No additional details about their daughter have been shared, and it’s clear the couple intends to keep this new chapter as private as possible. Still, it marks a major milestone for two young stars growing up and growing together under the spotlight.
