Sabrina Carpenter is the queen of manifesting—and now, officially, a Coachella headliner.

On Sept. 15, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival unveiled its 2026 lineup, and Carpenter’s name appeared front and center alongside music legends Karol G and Justin Bieber. The announcement marked a major full-circle moment for the 26-year-old pop star, who performed at the iconic Indio festival just last year.

She closed her 2025 set with one of her special “Nonsense” outros, cheekily promising: “Coachella, see you back here when I headline.”

Well… she wasn’t kidding.

The “Please Please Please” singer took to Instagram today, posting a two-slide carousel that sent fans into a frenzy. The first featured a screenshot of the official lineup, while the second was a video clip of that very outro moment—complete with her signature smirk and unmatched confidence.

Carpenter’s “Nonsense” outros have become a beloved staple of her live shows—hilariously cheeky, often raunchy and always tailored to the city she’s in. What began as playful improvisation has evolved into an expected highlight of each performance. But no outro has hit quite like the Coachella one, which—whether by coincidence or cosmic pop-girl manifestation—just became her most iconic yet.

“woman of my word,” the Grammy Award-winner, who made her headlining debut at Outside Lands in San Francisco last summer, captioned the announcement post today.

“hardworking manifestation final boss,” Leon Kilian commented.

“magician,” stylist Jared Ellner chimed.

“Can’t wait! The last Coachella performance was INCREDIBLE so I know this one will even be more spectacular! And with the new songs from the fabulous new album - FANTASTIC!,” Eric Vetro gushed.

“she’s working late,” Owen Thiele declared, cleverly referencing lyrics from “Espresso.”

“I genuinely can’t get over this,” one fan wrote, while another added, “and in two years what a diva.”

The Pennsylvania native’s rise has been nothing short of meteoric. She released her debut album in 2015, but it was her breakout project Emails I Can’t Send in 2022 that marked a major turning point. She solidified her pop star status with Short n’ Sweet in 2024, followed by her latest record Man’s Best Friend, which dropped last month.

The Disney Channel alum’s recent seventh studio album debuted at No. 1 and quickly became a cultural reset, driven by viral hits like “Manchild,” “House Tour” and “Tears.” The album shattered multiple streaming records within its first 24 hours—and continued to break them in the weeks following.

Meanwhile, Short n’ Sweet just earned the coveted Album of the Year title at the 2025 MTV VMAs, further cementing Carpenter’s position at the top of pop.
