Sabrina Carpenter Dons Custom NYC Skyline Bodysuit, Taps Hollywood Icon for ‘Juno’

Sabrina Carpenter kicked off her five-night takeover at Madison Square Garden on Oct. 26, and it went perfectly.
A sparkly start to her MSG takeover
The 26-year-old pop star hit the stage for night one of her sold-out NYC run in a dazzling custom Victoria’s Secret bodysuit. The sparkly navy blue one-piece featured sultry lace paneling, matching garters, bedazzled tights and a silver beaded NYC skyline stretching across the bodice. Styled by Jared Ellner, the look channeled Broadway meets bombshell, a perfect nod to her current Short n’ Sweet Tour—now infused with several tracks off her latest project, Man’s Best Friend.
“SPOTTED: @sabrinacarpenter lighting up night one in a custom VS bodysuit. The city’s never looked so good. 💫,” the lingerie brand captioned an Instagram post of stage pics taken by Alfredo Flores.
Hair stylist Evanie Frausto gave the Pennsylvania native’s signature blonde curls extra volume for the occasion, while Carolina Gonzalez brought her glam to life with wispy lashes, flushed cheeks and a glossy berry lip.
“Night 1 of 5 at @thegarden was everything :’),” Carpenter captioned a post-show photo dump.
“Start spreading the news 😉🚕💙,” VS commented.
“THE PRETTIEST BODY SUIT EVER 🌃✨,” Digester Pop chimed in.
“madison sabrina garden is that u?” Team Sabrina wrote.
Enter: Anne Hathaway, queen of Genovia
During the “Juno” segment of the concert, where Carpenter playfully “arrests” someone in the audience, Hathaway stood up and played along. When asked where she was from, the Princess Diaries star replied, “Genovia,” drawing screams from fans and a bow from Carpenter, who responded, “Has anyone ever told you that you look like a princess?”
The moment ended with Hathaway making a heart with her hands before being mock-handcuffed, proving once again that she is, in fact, still that girl.
The two also have some adorable history. Hathaway previously went viral on TikTok over the summer for dancing to “Manchild,” bringing her elegance and personality to the track’s cheeky choreography. And with Princess Diaries 3 officially in pre-production, fans couldn’t help but feel like this was a full-circle moment.
New era energy
Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet Tour originally launched in spring 2024 and has become one of the most viral pop tours of the decade. Now on its second U.S. leg, the show features updated visuals, new fashion moments and surprise songs from Man’s Best Friend, which dropped in August and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
The NYC run continues through the end of the week—and if night one is any indication, we’re in for plenty more iconic cameos and custom couture.
