Yes, Sydney Sweeney Is Selling Her Bathwater—Here’s Where You Can Buy It

Every once in a while, you wake up, go to work at a writing job you love and find yourself crafting a sentence made up of a sequence of words you never thought you’d write. For me (the real living, breathing human being writing this article), that day was today, and that sentence was: “Sydney Sweeney is selling her bathwater.”
In what feels like either a late April Fool’s joke gone wrong or a moment of pure marketing genius gone right and absolutely nothing in between, the 27-year-old Euphoria actress took to her Instagram account this week to let her 25.2 million followers know that she’ll be selling bars of soap created using droplets of her actual bathwater, courtesy of her brand partnership with Dr. Squatch.
Yes, this is real. I’d never lie to you.
“You kept asking about my bathwater after the @drsquatch ad… so we kept it,” Sweeney playfully captioned the announcement post. “Introducing Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss! A very real, very limited-edition soap made with my actual bathwater. Available on 6/6/25 at drsquatch.com 🛁✨”
Produced in a deep turquoise shade with a “medium grit” texture and a label featuring a cartoon rendering of the actress, the product is, as Sweeney noted, very much real and very much actually for sale on the brand’s website beginning in June for a limited time. The scent of the soap is listed as “Morning Wood”—because of course it is.
Dr. Squatch’s official brand Instagram account also posted about the collaboration while announcing a giveaway of the item, captioning their post with the answer to the question we’re all wondering about: “Why? Because y’all wouldn’t stop asking. And Sydney said, ‘Let’s do it.’ (What a legend).”
As you can imagine, reactions to this collaboration have already run the gamut, with some fans believing this product was made in poor taste. In contrast, others (myself included, TBH) see the self-aware, tongue-in-cheek humor of the novelty item given Sweeney’s often...let’s go with “overzealous”...fan base online.
And taking a peek at the comment sections of the two posts on Instagram is a rollercoaster ride of emotion all on its own, as fans had plenty of feelings they wanted to share:
“Sydney honey I love you but I don’t know about this,” one follower wrote.
“Your bills CANNOT be that high girl,” another added.
“this the only way we gonna get dudes to shower 😭😭,” a commenter joked (please let this be a joke).
“It’s Syd’s world and we’re all just living in it 🤭,” a fan concluded.
As previously noted, you can get your hands on the limited edition item beginning June 6 on Dr. Squatch’s official website. In the meantime, I’m begging you all to start taking the phrase “Be careful what you wish for” to heart.
