USWNT Player Alex Morgan Brings the Heat in These 8 Photos from Her Cover Shoot in St. Lucia
Professional soccer player Alex Morgan and the U.S. women’s national team begin the 2023 World Cup on Friday night (U.S. time) in New Zealand against Vietnam.
The USWNT is aiming to become the first team ever to win three consecutive World Cups—they won in both 2015 and ’19.
In honor of the tournament kicking off, we are throwing it back to some stunning photos from the San Diego Wave FC forward’s SI Swimsuit features. The model an mom of one, who shares her daughter Charlie with husband Servando Carrasco, made her debut with the magazine in 2012 for an in-studio body painting shoot.
She returned to the franchise in 2014 and traveled to Guana Island in the British Virgin Islands with photographer Adam Franzino.
In 2019, she and her teammates Megan Rapinoe, Crystal Dunn and Abby Dahlkemper were captured by Ben Watts in gorgeous St. Lucia.
“I feel like this issue has just become more of like a body positivity movement, and I think that that’s just women standing up for each other more than we’ve ever done before,” the 34-year-old said at the time.
Below are eight of our favorite photos from Morgan’s most recent SI Swimsuit shoot.
