Alix Earle Shines in Multiple Retro-Inspired Looks for Colorful ‘Alexa’ Cover Feature

Every week from Sept. 16 to Nov. 25, we’ve seen Alix Earle on our TV screens—and now she’s on our newsstands. The 24-year-old content creator, who was recently crowned the runner-up on Dancing With The Stars Season 34, is now Alexa’s latest cover star.
Released on Dec. 3, Earle donned the front page of the publication’s “Miami Issue” sporting a two-toned green and orange mini dress. The corset-style number hugged the multi-hyphenate’s frame as a colorful bird perched on a shoulder. The ensemble, curated by Anahita Moussavian, was accessorized with a statement necklace and chunky ring, while her bold glam by Lilly Keys featured a dramatic, sparkly, smoky eye.
“I think the vibe is sort of, like, vintage diva,” Earle told the publication in an Instagram reel on the shoot’s retro-inspired styling, calling her look “a little ‘80s” with “a ‘50s retro aesthetic with fun props.” She later elaborated, adding, “I’m always down to play. I’m like, I will wear anything, down for whatever. Everything’s very eccentric and fun and colorful.”
Every look from Earle featured a head-turning element—from her sequin-adorned lemon-colored skirt paired with a mesh, peach zip-up to an ultra-sparkly baby blue mini dress with a plunging neckline and a duo of bows. Additionally, Alexa's cover story delved into Earle’s own journey to becoming a media mogul in the midst of her collegiate career at the University of Miami.
Since then, Earle has skyrocketed to stardom, with appearances on the Forbes 2025 Top Creators list and 2025 TIME100 Creators List this year alone. More recently, the New Jersey native competed on the aforementioned ABC dance show with her professional partner Val Chmerkovskiy. While the duo was edged out in the finale by Season 34 Mirrorball Trophy winners Robert Irwin and Whitney Carson, the model still gushed over her experience following the results on Instagram.
“Beyond grateful for all the friends and memories I made along the way,” Earle penned in her post after calling the 11-week stint “such a special three months.”
And perhaps the show unintentionally inspired Earle’s next move, as she explained in the cover feature, “It’s made me want to consider taking more acting classes even if it’s not for a project, because it’s just tapping into a different side of my brain.” Her fellow competitor, Whitney Leavitt—who was eliminated in the Season 34 semifinals—is delving into acting as well, and recently announced that she will be playing Roxie Hart on Broadway in the classic musical Chicago starting in February.
