Addison Rae Shows Off Bare-Face Glow in Sweet Selfies as Fans Call Her ‘Greatest Pop Star’

The singer is embracing her natural beauty and building momentum with her debut album, ‘Addison.’

Addison Rae doesn’t need a full beat to dominate the pop charts or TikTok’s FYP. The 24-year-old is going mostly makeup-free on her debut album press tour, proving that clear skin and confidence might just be the ultimate glam duo. Who knew lip gloss and good vibes could go this far?

Now, she’s bringing that same fresh, laid-back energy to Instagram, where she recently shared a pair of radiant selfies. In the first, she struck a soft pout, resting her chin on one hand and not-so-subtly flashing a vibrant cherry red manicure.

Her blonde-brown hair, straight and naturally tousled, was tucked neatly behind her ears, while her skin glowed with a warm, sun-kissed flush. In the second slide, she ruffled her hair so a few strands fell loosely across her face, delivering a soft, sultry smolder straight to the camera.

“🍭🙏🏼,” she captioned the carousel—short, sweet and cryptic as ever.

Rae, who released her debut album Addison on June 6, is carving out her own lane in pop music, even as fans continue to compare her to icons like Britney Spears and Lana Del Rey.

“👑 you dropped this while posing queen,” one fan chimed.

“you’re already the greatest pop star in the world, what else do you WANT?!,” another gushed.

While some may question the weight of that title, Rae embraces the moment with humility and ambition. “It is obviously very complimentary,” she told Variety. “What does that even mean, really, to be the pop girl? Let’s see if the songs get more popular, then they can call me a pop girl.”

Still, she’s not shying away from the challenge. “This is my shot. I’ve got to go big,” she added.

The Louisiana native rose to fame in 2019 after moving to Los Angeles and quickly gaining traction on TikTok for her dance videos and charismatic presence. But she’s long since evolved beyond influencer fame. She released her debut single, “Obsessed,” in 2021 and her EP AR in 2023. Tracks like “Diet Pepsi,” “Aquamarine,” “High Fashion,” “Headphones On,” and “Fame Is a Gun” from her debut record quickly climbed the streaming charts, even before the full album dropped.

Notably, Addison was produced entirely by women. “I have something really special with these girls,” she continued. “It feels really beautiful and magical that it is just all females. I never set out for it to be that way... you almost don’t get that opportunity very much to work with just females in a room.”
