CARE is commemorating International Women’s Day with a call to action in a “multi-day campaign” titled “Level the Playing Field”.

Shared on its site this morning, the campaign—fronted by a trio of Olympic gold medal-winning athletes, Jordan Chiles, Julie Foudy and Abby Wambach—urges folks to “join the conversation on how women’s leadership in every field shapes a fairer, more equitable world” by adding their name and email to the organization’s pledge. All three athletes can also be heard in a video coupled with the announcement, posted to CARE’s social media platforms in conjunction with a press release.

“Leveling the Playing Field” has been a common theme throughout both of our entire careers—from the soccer field to now with the ‘Welcome to the Party’ show, where we show up and elevate women and girls in sports in a traditionally male-dominated industry,” said Wambach in a statement. The 41-year-old retired soccer player, who notched two Olympic gold medals (2004, 2012), currently hosts the “Welcome to the Party” with Foudy and International Tennis Hall of Famer, Billie Jean King.

Wambach continued, “Partnering with CARE on their International Women’s Day campaign this year felt like a no-brainer.  It’s the perfect way for us to continue to remind the world of what women have accomplished in spite of the barriers they may have - and the work that still needs to be done.”

Her former teammate, Foudy, who has a pair of gold medals from 1996 and 2004, along with one silver from the 2000 Olympic games in Sydney, concurred stating, in-part, “CARE’s mission of lifting up women and girls globally couldn’t be more resonant, and while we are excited to shine a light on International Women’s Day, CARE continues the hard work every day of leveling the playing field for women and girls everywhere.”

Chiles, the final member of the award-winning squad of athletes leading the charge with CARE, has also continued to shine both in and outside of her sport. While she is currently competing with the UCLA Bruins during her senior season in the NCAA program, she began the 2026 season by appearing on Dancing With the Stars, finishing third on the ABC competition show with her professional partner, Ezra Sosa.

At just 24, she also has a duo of Olympic medals herself, notching a silver in Tokyo, before taking home the gold with the USA Women’s Gymnastics team in Paris in 2024.
