When Alix Earle returned to Miami to attend Art Basel from Dec. 4 to 6, the final day of her trip was met with a major personal update. On Saturday, multiple outlets—including PEOPLE and US Weekly—reported that the 24-year-old Dancing With The Stars runner-up had allegedly split from her boyfriend, Houston Texans wide receiver Braxton Berrios. The pair had been dating for over two years.

Still, confirmation of the breakup has not yet been corroborated by Earle or Berrios themselves. The information surfaced from “multiple sources,” both outlets reported, with one source telling US Weekly that “distance was a huge factor” on their decision to call it quits.

Now, Earle’s latest Instagram post—shared on Thursday, Dec. 11—has fans questioning the separation entirely. The content creator shared an 18-slide carousel with frames from the Sunshine State, with most snaps highlighting her evening activities with friends. In the caption, the Hot Mess host wrote, “can’t a girl just go dancing.”

What further led to theorizing from fans was Berrios’s post, also shared on the app yesterday, roughly one hour before Earle’s. The 30-year-old football player penned, “What did I miss?” along with an eight-slide carousel, all of the athlete walking in stride.

“Every single performance of alixs,” one commenter responded to Berrios’s caption, referring to the athlete’s absence during her DWTS run. However, the NFL player followed up with a direct response of his own: “I would’ve been at every one if I could’ve, sadly I can’t travel like that in-season.” In less than 24 hours online, his response has garnered over 20,000 likes, and the carousel itself has 26,000 shares and counting.

Fans search for answers

In turn, fans have headed to both Earle’s and Berrios’s posts to ask the pair for further clarification on their relationship status, while also posing a few theories around the duo:

“yours and braxtons captions are giving: we are still together ppl r dramatic,” one user hypothesized on Earle’s feed.

“They are 💯 % still together!” another commenter theorized under the same carousel.

“Braxton i must know,” one user exclaimed under the football player’s post.

Fans of Earle, specifically, are also asking the content creator where she and Berrios stand; at the time of publication, the multihyphenate has not confirmed or denied the rumors yet.

A fan declared, “You and Braxtons captions really stressing me out.”

Another chimed in, “I support my bestfriend Alix but we need an update so I can calm down.”
