On Tuesday, Jan. 6, Sarah Jessica Parker was honored with the Golden Globes’ Carol Burnett Award in Beverly Hills. The Sex and the City star—who played Carrie Bradshaw on the HBO series, which ran from 1998 to 2003 before reiving the iconic role in the spin-off And Just Like That...—accepted the award surrounded by castmates. And just yesterday, her longtime co-star Cynthia Nixon took to Instagram to share some words of support from New York City.

“This is just a message to say, so many, many, many, many congratulations on getting the Carol Burnett Award from the Golden Globes,” Nixon said while en route to her latest endeavor as Tess in the Broadway play Marjorie Prime. "It is so well deserved. I am so sorry I am not with you, and everybody there to celebrate.”

While the 59-year-old actress could not attend the West Coast event, her 60-year-old co-star was celebrated by plenty of alumni from the SATC franchise. On-stage, Kristin Davis, who plays Charlotte York, gushed over their nearly 30-year-long friendship, calling Parker her “life-long chosen family.” Also in attendance were Evan Handler, who plays Davis’s on-screen husband, Harry Goldenblatt, and David Eigenberg, who starred as Steve Brady, the on-again-off-again love interest of Nixon's character, Miranda Hobbes.

“You’ve always been such an amazing actress, and someone who loves the arts so much and has contributed so much,” Nixon continued in the reel. “Whether you’re talking about theater or film or fashion or dance, you’re just a pillar of the arts, and I love you, and I’m so proud that you’re my friend.”

Her message found its way to Parker in under 24 hours, who left a sweet comment of her own underneath Nixon’s declaration. The honoree responded, “I will be with you at your theatre soon!! You were where you SHOULD be!!! Onstage for all of us!! And you were there in such a BIG BIG way, for me and all of your HBO family. I thought of you so much and send love. See you soon! Xxx”

And even after their roles as Carrie and Miranda came to a close with the conclusion of the third and final season of And Just Like That..., fans are still loving the ladies’ real-life friendship.

“I cried like a baby. The women who raised me (and are solely responisble for my expensive taste in handbags and footwear). 💕,” one commenter wrote on Nixon’s post.

“Their friendship is the best. May we all strive to support our friends like this!” Another fan exclaimed.

“Carrie and Miranda Always 💕❤️❤️❤️,” another user concluded.
