Olivia Dunne knows many fans of her boyfriend, Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes, likely only follow her on social media to catch a glimpse of the superstar athlete—and you better believe she’s going to joke about it.

The retired Louisiana State University gymnast turned model and content creator has been romantically linked to the 2025 Cy Young Award winner since at least 2023. In the time since, Dunne has often posted photos and videos of the couple together, giving fans a peek into how they spend their time—but when Skenes isn’t featured in a post, you better believe there’s a handful of fans in her comment section asking where he is.

With that in mind, Dunne took to her TikTok account on Monday, Nov. 24, to share a hilarious representation of what this phenomenon feels like with her 8 million followers.

Taking to TikTok

In the 12-second video—which Dunne captioned: “He’s a man of the people #bf #baseball #mlb”—the couple could be seen standing side by side, facing the camera while sporting casual outfits. From there, a classic sound from SpongeBob Squarepants played, featuring a crowd vigorously applauding. The video then cut to a shot of Dunne standing by herself, and the sound abruptly stopped, leaving the model in silence.

As the clip cut back to a solo shot of Skenes peeking in at the corner of the frame, the cheering started up again, even louder than before. This repeated, becoming more ridiculous as the sequence went on—which was also a direct reference to the aforementioned SpongeBob Squarepants episode—with the cheering only happening when Skenes was visible somewhere on screen. “How it feels having a boyfriend everyone loves” text written atop the video read.

In the time since Dunne posted the video earlier this week, the humorous TikTok has gone viral, garnering 1.2 million views on the app with over 106k likes at the time of this article’s publication.

Fans react

And with a self-referential video of this nature, you already know plenty of fans of both Dunne and Skenes were quick to hop in her comment section on TikTok to share their reactions—and of course, their best jokes:

“Who is the person next to Paul Skenes?” One commenter quipped.

“SpongeBob reference is top tier,” another added, referring to the sound used in the video.

“Ok this was really good 😂😂😂😂,” another fan admitted.

“Trust me, I heard more men talking about wanting to see you instead of Paul at Fenway,” one follower assured, to which Dunne responded with a crying laughing emoji.

Still, out of all the great comments posted, the best (and most relatable) one adorably came courtesy of Dunne’s true number one fan:

“lol I’m still your biggest fan! ❤,” Kat Dunne wrote in the comments. Shortly after, the model simply replied, “Thanks mom.”
