Sabrina Carpenter has never shied away from a little drama—especially the glamorous, dressed-up, musical kind. Now, the pop sensation is bringing that same theatrical energy to her latest role: Redken global ambassador.

With campy choreography, Broadway-worthy vocals and a glossy mane that could stop traffic, Carpenter starred in a new showtunes-inspired campaign that feels plucked straight from a golden-age musical. It’s playful, over-the-top and perfectly on brand for the “Please Please Please” singer.

“Leave your damage at the door and enjoy the show,” the haircare brand wrote on Instagram.

A musical haircare moment

The new campaign, titled “Leave It In,” opens with Carpenter stepping out of a luxe hotel bathroom in a fluffy white robe. Her signature blonde curls are perfectly tousled, styled into bouncy vintage waves. She clocks a towering, wobbly stack of suitcases in front of her—with a hairbrush, open lipstick, a bottle of Redken’s Acidic Bonding Concentrate Leave-In Treatment and a blow dryer teetering at the top.

The 26-year-old reaches for the bottle on her tiptoes, knocking over the entire tower—and promptly gets knocked out herself.

Cue the musical number.

Glitz, glam and Redken magic

She wakes up atop a pyramid of luggage, surrounded by bellboys who burst into song: “Leave it in!” What follows is pure spectacle. Carpenter and an ensemble cast dance and sing about heat protection, breakage repair and intense conditioning, with cheeky double entendres sprinkled throughout.

“I do love protection,” Carpenter smirks at one point. And in her own words from “House Tour” on Man’s Best Friend—we “promise none of this is a metaphor.”

Mid-scene, she slips out of her robe and into a dramatic high-low white gown with feathered trim and an open back, channeling Old Hollywood glam with a wink. The dream ends with her waking up in her hotel room, hair still flawless, the ABC Leave-In by her side.

“The longer you leave it in, the better it feels,” the Disney Channel alum purrs. She’s talking about the product, but the delivery is pure Carpenter suggestivity.

The secret to her signature blonde

The campaign spotlights Redken’s Acidic Bonding Concentrate Leave-In Treatment—a best-selling, sulfate-free formula that visibly reverses one year of damage in one use. It’s safe for all hair types, including color-treated and chemically processed hair, offering heat protection up to 450°F, 2x less breakage, 10x smoother strands and 88% fewer split ends. Plus, it’s pH-balanced and preserves hair color.

“Beauty and especially my hair is a big part of my identity,” Carpenter said in a press release. “I’ve always dreamed of partnering with a hair brand and waited to find the right partner. It’s been the secret to keeping my hair looking its best.”

The full ABC collection includes a shampoo, conditioner and five-minute liquid mask—aka a complete repair system for hair that’s always camera-ready.
