Shay Mitchell Excites Fans by Posting Mini ’Pretty Little Liars’ Reunion

Mitchell celebrated the 15th anniversary of the beloved show with a fun throwback photo drop.

Shay Mitchell just gave fans a delightful throwback surprise with her latest photo drop!

The actress, model and brand founder took to her Instagram account this weekend to celebrate a milestone anniversary for the popular show Pretty Little Liars, which she famously starred on as Emily Fields.

The beloved show, which premiered on ABC Family (now Freeform) on June 8, 2010, did indeed turn 15 years old this month (and I, the writer of this article, am now feeling like the Crypt Keeper thanks to this knowledge). And, while Mitchell shared an abundance of fun behind the scenes snapshots and sweet moments from the set to celebrate, fans couldn’t help but get excited over one specific photo, which featured a sweet mini-reunion.

Captioning the 19-photo throwback carousel, “Pretty Little Time Capsule. Somehow it’s been 15 years since we all started lying professionally… 🤫,” Mitchell posed side-by-side with two of her Pretty Little Liars co-stars: Ashley Benson and Troian Bellisario. Wearing all black, the trio looked as close as ever, with all three basically glowing for the sweet selfie. And, while she wasn’t there for the mini-reunion physically, fellow co-star Lucy Hale was there in spirit thanks to the comment section, where she simply wrote “😭❤️✨.”

Other photos featured in the massive drop revealed the show’s many stars behind the scenes, as well as photos of the team cutting up a huge cake and some snippets of old ads—which are honestly pretty iconic to look at now.

And of course, plenty of fans of the show and the actresses were overjoyed to see their faves are still friendly, taking to Mitchell’s Instagram comment section to share some love for the anniversary:

“Is it time for a group rewatch?” One fan cheekily asked.

“Personally this show raised me,” another follower joked.

“🥹🥹🥹 This melts my heart! ❤️❤️❤️❤️,” a user exclaimed.

But don’t you worry—the cast of the hit show has been plenty busy in the years since the 2017 finale!

Mitchell has gone on to star on other popular TV shows like You and Dollface while also founding the luxury luggage brand BÉIS. Hale has continued to grow her acting career with roles in everything ranging from horror movies to rom-coms, including Truth or Dare, A Nice Girl Like You, Fantasy Island and the film adaptation of the mega-popular romance novel The Hating Game.

Benson has also continued to grow her acting career in both film and TV, and she’s starred in music videos for artists like G-Eazy, NLT and Hot Chelle Rae. The same goes for Bellisario, who most recently starred in the Amazon Prime Video police procedural On Call, which premiered on the streaming platform back in January of this year.
