Sydney Sweeney is showing fans her “happy place,” and the view is absolutely stunning.

Earlier this week, the actress took to Instagram to invite her 25.4 million Instagram followers along for the ride as she ventured to the mountains for a picturesque getaway. This journey comes after a jam-packed year for the Euphoria actress, who starred in several high-profile projects in 2025.

Sweeney on the water

For her Instagram post, Sweeney sported a black wetsuit with orange details and a bright lining, snapping a quick selfie for the cover image. In the video clip itself, the star could be seen out on the water, waterskiing off the back of a fast-moving boat while breathtaking mountains and fantastic forest landscapes filled the frame in the background.

“42 degrees out and still my happy place, last run of the season before it ices over,” Sweeney penned in the caption, highlighting how the location remains one she finds solace—even in chillier temperatures. And this is hardly the first time the actress has posted snapshots from the water, with several photos on her Instagram grid highlighting time spent in her “happy place.” Still, the overall vibe of her latest post was serenity with an added edge, thanks to her speedy sport of choice.

“As a fellow slalom skier I just want to know your speed cause you’re flying girl ✨,” Erin Wilkins asked in the comment section. Sweeney answered, writing, “my uncle drives me between 32-34mph!”

Looking ahead to 2026

As noted above, Sweeney had a very busy 2025 thanks to her simultaneous promotion of several projects, including the biopic Christy—for which she won the Achievement in Acting Award at the 2025 Hamptons International Film Festival and the Spotlight Award from the SCAD Savannah Film Festival—and the upcoming thriller The Housemaid.

2026 promises to be just as exciting for the star, as the highly anticipated third season of the hit HBO show Euphoria is scheduled for release after four years, with the second season ending back in 2022.

According to Deadline, she’s also set to reunite with Euphoria costar and living legend Colman Domingo to star in his upcoming film Scandalous! The project will be Domingo’s directorial debut, and Sweeney is currently expected to star as Old Hollywood icon Kim Novak, with the story detailing the actress’s relationship with Sammy Davis Jr. (who will be portrayed in the film by David Jonsson).
