Five-time Grammy Award-winning artist Christina Aguilera took to Instagram on Friday to remind her 9.6 million followers of the importance of lifting one another up. And while we saw many inspirational messages from several lovely individuals on International Women’s Day, the 43-year-old musician’s was one of our favorites.

“The world is undeniably better when women’s voices, ideas, and beliefs are heard. But as we revel in our progress, let’s also acknowledge the stark reality: the fight is far from over,” Aguilera wrote in her caption. “In 2024, we face challenges we never could have imagined. But in the face of adversity, we must stand stronger and fight harder. I look towards a hopeful future where my daughter’s voice will not just be heard, but truly valued and respected. Let’s continue to uplift and empower the women around us, on International Women’s Day and every day 🩷.”

Alongside the powerful sentiment, the “Genie in a Bottle” singer shared several stunning black-and-white photos of herself. In one, she held up a card from the Girls Nigh Out edition of the game “TableTopics,” which read, “how would the world be different if women hadn’t won the right to vote.”

Tons of fans and followers chimed in to the comments section to thank Aguilera for her inspirational words of wisdom.

“Thank you for inspiring me with your voice every day. I admire you and respect you a lot ♥️ love you Christina✨,” one person wrote.

“Be aware that many know your contributions too ❤️❤️❤️,” someone else noted.

“An example of why women are so important for our society 👏,” another fan applauded.
