Alix Earle showed fans exactly how she got ready to perform three rigorous routines on the incredible Dancing With the Stars Season 34 finale.

The popular ABC dance competition concluded last night, Nov. 25, with a record number of fan votes coming in for the five finalists—72 million fan votes, to be precise. But before she hit the ballroom floor for the last time, Earle took to her Instagram account to share her latest “Get Ready With Me” video with her 5 million loyal followers. There, she took fans behind the scenes, showing them her preparation process and opening up about the competition.

GRWM: DWTS finale edition

In the video clip, the content creator could be seen seated in her trailer before the live taping began. As she had her makeup done, she shared how she was feeling going into the show. “We’re all sad in here. We’re all crying,” she began, flashing the camera to her glam squad, who were also emotional. “I’m going to miss you!”

“It is crazy that this went by so fast. Feeling good vibes today because I’ve cried so much this week, I’m honestly, like—there’s no tears left to cry at this very moment,” Earle continued as her eyeshadow was applied. “We have a long day ahead of us. I left the house at 5:30 this morning. I started 6 a.m. glam, then we run our two routines, [but] we’re going to have three dances tonight—and the show is also three hours.”

As the fantastic makeup artist touched up her final look—a gorgeous combination of soft peaches clearly designed to go with any outfit—the content creator revealed what she felt was the “craziest part” of the post-finale experience, adding, “Then we jump on a plane straight to New York. No sleep. No hotel. We just go right to Good Morning America, so I’m probably going to be in this same makeup on Good Morning America tomorrow.”

Still, the superstar remained in high spirits, noting that she was also looking forward to the Thanksgiving holiday and spending time with family after her grueling (but exciting!) DWTS schedule concluded.

A finale for the ages

Earle’s pre-show glam proved to be perfect when she hit the dance floor later in the evening, looking radiant for all three rounds and scoring 10s across the board with her pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy for every single routine, resulting in the only perfect 90/90 total judges’ score for the evening.

After the judges’ scores were combined with a record number of viewer votes coming in from fans watching at home, Earle was announced the runner-up, with the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy officially going to Robert Irwin and his pro partner Witney Carson.

Upon announcing the final tally, DWTS hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough noted that the gap between Earle and Irwin was “one of the tightest [they] had ever seen in a finale” and that each of them had “individually received more votes [in the finale] than anyone had ever received” in the show’s 20-year history. Needless to say, we’re sending a massive congratulations to Earle on an incredible showing all season long!
