Alix Earle Reveals ‘Bare Minimum’ Requirement for Dating and Fans Wholeheartedly Agree

As it turns out, the dating pool is rough out there, even for stars like Alix Earle. The content creator took to TikTok over the weekend to muse about a recurring issue she has run into while going out on first dates recently, and plenty of her 8.5 million followers on the platform unfortunately related.

“Just wondering for my girlies who are out there and dating, I feel like the date’s over before it even starts,” Earle began. “I don’t know if I’m like really expecting just princess treatment or what, but the past three people I went out with are picking me up and they’ll have like a driver or a car, but they’re not getting out and opening the door for me ... They’re just sitting in there and [expecting me to] come hop in. Then it’s in my mind, I’ve already like [nixed] you before we’ve even talked.”

“Am I crazy?” she continued. “Because now it’s been three in a row, but like, what? Shouldn’t we be opening the door for the princesses? That’s what I thought.”

Since opening the car door for someone on a first date in fact seems like the bare minimum, several of Earle’s fans popped into the comments section to note that she is not asking for much.

“So this is happening at every level .. wow,” one person observed.

“Men open doors. Boys don’t ❤️,” a follower stated.

“Them sitting in the car and waiting for you is giving business deal not DATE wtf 😭,” another fan offered.

“I would just keep standing there. 😂,” someone joked.

“guys lost all sense of traditional ways nowadays,” one person wrote.

“I went on 4 dates with 4 different men this week and not one of them told me I looked pretty. Men today thinking they are the prize is beyond me,” another comment read.

“Baby you specifically deserve QUEEN treatment,” one follower declared, to which Earle replied, “We all do 💋.”

Since confirming her split with New York Giants wide receiver Braxton Berrios in January, Earle has occasionally opened up to her social media followers about her adventures in dating. The 25-year-old New Jersey native and the professional athlete dated for about two-and-a-half years before going their separate ways in December 2025. Since then, Earle has been linked to stars like Tom Brady and Benson Boone, though those rumors have not been substantiated.
