Where would the makeup world be without a soft and natural everyday look? It’s hard to imagine this style ever fading, as it’s both easy to follow and timeless. Fortunately, Christen Goff has arrived just in time to show how she achieves her own version of the effortless glam.

The model, who is also the wife of Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff, took to Instagram this week to post a video of all the steps she uses to get her 10 out of 10 look. She began with some nice skincare prep to keep her base refreshed and hydrated, following up with foundation and other makeup essentials for a flawless, airbrush-like finish.

To spruce her look up even further, Goff added a few dots of liquid contour, blending to add more color. A sharp eyeliner, primped eyelashes and a dab of gloss were great inclusions to the mix.

Inside Goff’s game-day ready glam

As seen during her stream with Amazon Live, Goff’s routine is concise and straight to the point, with a bit of technique needed here and there. Still, as long as the staples featured in her everyday glam are at the front and center, replicating this look should be a breeze.

Skincare prep

Charlotte Tilbury

Nothing like Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream Face Moisturizer ($100) after a fresh wash to start your routine on the right foot. Goff listed this as her go-to for incorporating moisture that lasts all day.

This step is crucial, especially when using liquid products like Goff. Starting on a dry surface can lead to a cracked foundation or concealer that doesn’t apply as smoothly as it should.

Makeup pillars

L'Oréal

Goff relies on L'Oreal Paris Lumi Le Glow Skin Tint ($14.79) for her base. After all, a foundation exists to set up the face for greatness, so having a luminous product and light is a must. A foundation like this will ensure your second face doesn’t really feel like a second face.

For application, she uses the CoverGirl Blending Foundation Brush ($9.26) to spread it evenly. It’s important that you make soft strokes with the brush to best mimic the smoothness of your skin.

After some concealer (which is optional), Goff went in with her Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Liquid Contour Wand ($42) for dimension, so her finished complexion doesn’t read blasé. She used a contour brush from her Real Techniques 6 Piece Everyday Essentials Makeup Brush Set ($18.92) to finish the job.

Another nice touch in this regimen was her use of the contour on her eyelids. This created a neutral eyeshadow look, which is great for those who don’t want to be too heavy on their eyes. Shortly afterwards, Goff gave a winged eyeliner moment with the CoverGirl Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner Pencil ($5.97) before fluffing out the lashes with the Shu Uemura Iconic Eyelash Curler ($20.25) and Tower 28’s Mascara ($20).

Clarins

No makeup look is complete without a fire lip combo. Of course, Goff has that down to a science, beginning with her Clarins Water Lip Stain ($32) to add a nice rosy tint to her lips. She then went in with Charlotte Tillbury’s Lip Cheat Lip Liner Pencil ($26) for a more defined finish.

For an even shinier lip, Goff recommends the Clarins Lip Comfort Oil ($30).

L'Oréal

Last but not least, it’s the setting spray—but not just any setting spray, the L'Oreal Paris Infallible 3-Second Setting Spray Mist ($10.98). This transfer-proof, slip-resistant, long-lasting item will keep your makeup in place through it all. It’s especially great for game days, when it may feel like sweat and debris won’t leave you alone. Goff having this in her wheelhouse speaks to her undeniable knowledge of beauty staples.

With the football season well underway, it’s time to have a makeup look that survives the rainbow of emotions you’re definitely going to feel while watching your favorite team. Follow Goff’s fool-proof routine to accomplish just that.
