Celebrities brought their best and brightest looks to the red carpet for the Baby2Baby Gala held in West Hollywood on Saturday, Nov. 8. Stars came together to raise funds to help support children who are living in poverty and supply those in need with food, resources, shelter and more. Last year, the foundation raised a whopping $17 million for the cause.

Every year, Baby2Baby honors one celebrity mother with the Giving Tree Award, which praises the recipient’s work and how it reflects the values of the foundation. Previous recipients include Salma Hayek Pinault, Vanessa Bryant, Chrissy Teigen, Kerry Washington and more. This year, tennis champion Serena Williams was honored with the esteemed award.

Williams and other familiar faces showed up and showed out, making the gala a night to remember. A-listers donned their most fashion-forward ensembles for the occasion, and the following standouts certainly deserve a round of applause.

Ciara

Black leather is always a daring fabric that delivers effortless cool girl energy. Ciara knows this to be true, as she sported the tried and true material in the form of a strapless, figure-hugging number. Her leather gloves, which extended to her upper arms, were the perfect cherry on top to produce quite the edgy outfit.

Mutyala embodied regality from her head to her toes. Her ballgown made her resemble that of an enchanting princess, not just in form, but also in aura. The way the piece began with a solid black hue before it spilled out into an ombré masterpiece was absolutely breathtaking.

Jeannie Mai

Mai scored a plethora of points for going against the grain with her olive green dress. Mai’s avant-garde work of art consisted of a half-spherical shape that covered up her entire bodice. Lace fabric of the same color then took the center stage, as it extended all the way to the floor before it pooled into a patterned wonder.

Meghan Trainor

Brides going into wedding season may find wedding dress inspiration in Trainor’s red carpet attire. The celebrity looked dreamy in this gown that blended two different fabrics into one remarkable vision. An upper half of jewels set against an ivory background combined with a white tulle skirt isn’t something one sees every day, but it certainly was eye-catching.

Molly Sims

Sims’s black ensemble is a surefire was to put fashionistas on to the power of cut-outs. The skin-baring feature certainly makes a statement for just about any bold eveningwear choice. Asymmetrical cut-outs are even more stunning, as they do well to add more dimension to a sleek silhouette like the model’s, above.

Sara Sampaio

Leave it to Sampaio to shake it up with something like her charming pink rose set. A glittery top that glistened underneath the moonlight and a lovely circle skirt with a sheen like no other produced a fabulous top and bottom that combined to be striking and marvelous.

Serena Williams

And finally, the lady of the night. Williams was elegance personified with this superb showing of how black and white is a timeless color combination. It’s impossible not to admire the ruched white band at the top of this black dress, and there’s no doubt this piece was made for Williams to shine.

The Baby2Baby Gala’s red carpet certainly highlighted some incredible fashion. Above all, however, it was a great night for raising awareness for those in need.
