Dua Lipa Accessorizes Everyday Closet Staple Look With Perfect Statement Jacket in Cape Town

Leave it to Dua Lipa to style a white tee and cutoff jean shorts in a unique and stunning fashion.

The 30-year-old singer-songwriter recently visited Cape Town for the first time, and while in South Africa’s capital city, Lipa took the opportunity to showcase her personal sense of style. In an Instagram post published to her feed on Friday, Jan. 23, she layered two button-ups with vertical stripes over one another, and opted for a cropped khaki jacket for simplistic layering for another ensemble.

The outfit that really caught our attention, however, consisted of a statement jacket Lipa wore along with the aforementioned white T-shirt, denim shorts and a pair of brown riding boots: a cropped red military jacket featuring silver hardware and mustard-colored cuffs. The “Don’t Start Now” singer expertly matched the silver detailing of the jacket with her accessories, including an oversized chainlink bracelet that adorned one wrist and the riveted detail of a brown belt that cinched her waist. In one snap that showcased the outfit, Lipa snapped a mirror selfie with a Chanel bag slung over one arm and oversized sunnies on her face. Later, she provided a full glimpse at the outfit while she struck a pose outdoors.

“First time in Cape Town 💌 a fun work week with a few side quests,” Lipa captioned the Instagram photo carousel, which she shared with her 88.7 million followers on the platform.
